Crisp January

January greetings from one of my favorite places ~ Venice, CA.

Taking a well-earned break from writing (almost afraid to get home and dig back in, it's SO consuming).

After chilly holidays with warm family on Long Island, I flew to N. Calif. and embarked on a 21-day road trip: SF to Sebastopol, Ukiah, Grass Valley, Nevada City, through the mountains back to Chico, Redding, Lassen Nat'l Park, Mt. Shasta, Yreka, Ashland (OR), then down through the Giant Redwoods to Crescent City on the Calif. coast, on down to Arcata and Eureka, back to Sebastopol, then SE to Yosemite (took a lifetime to finally get there), then LA! Lotta drivin', lotta mountains, a little snow, definitely cleared my mind. And I set up a nice book tour for later in the year. Details soon.

Now going mad in SoCal over food, friends, and movies. Traveling is refreshing, made better by having a new book to share. (Record sales in December and January!) If you don't yet have a copy of "STARS IN OUR EYES," grab one here (!) through the Amazon link ---->. You will totally enjoy this book.

And, while you're here, save the weekend of April 21 & 22. If you're in or near LA, come find my booth at the LA TIMES FESTIVAL OF BOOKS at the USC campus. Get a big hug and signed books. Serious discounts all weekend!

Much aloha ~
