Born on the Third of July ~

Expedition Costa Rica was released last week in pre-order mode! Grab the $3 discount at Amazon before it disappears (not sure when). The hippie chick's escapades pale in comparison to this little stroll. And I know I should say more about the story to tempt readers, but I'd rather you venture into it blind as I did—you'll be more sympathetic.

Again, as will probably always be the case with my books, I'm anxious to hear about your reading experience, so let me know how it goes once you start or finish this book.

Aside from that (another year, another book), I'm preparing to re-release 'Some Swamis are Fat' under my real name. Since I have to banish Ava Greene both from the cover and the interior, and since the book's being translated into Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese, I'm also doing a few edits. Re-reading it last week, I still actually got inspired by the little book, so if you haven't read it, and you have spiritual leanings, take a peek. It's different from my other books.

Other news is a book-signing at the Boulder Barnes & Noble on September 10, another Author Talk at the East Hampton Library (Long Island)  September 24, an Author Evening and interview at the Bridgehampton Library (L.I.) Sept. 27, and hopefully a book-signing at Burton's Books in Greenport. I'll also be signing here in Kaua`i July 22 at Talk Story in Hanapepe, and probably again in August. So if you're in one of those places, mark your calendar!

June has been divine in Hawai`i, breezy and the right amount of rain. We're happy. And I know Mainlanders are too because summer has arrived. Here's wishing you all the spark of July Fourth, good earplugs, a quiet place for your pets, and plenty of fun travel. It's old home weekend for me, born on the third of July.

Enjoy your summer reading and relaxation!

Love and aloha,

Wendy
